Type 5 – SPEC speedcams

Technically speaking, these are not RADARs, but a system capable of reading the car registration numbers in two different points separated by a known distance and interconnected. The system calculates the average speed the car run along the stretch.

They are placed in porches but, in contrast to other traffic control cameras these point facing at you. At present, as they are not still officially approved, they cannot be used for fining but it is convenient putting an eye on them for changes the near future:
