Type 4 – Redlight cams

They are placed on or close to traffic lights, so they can detect speeding, cars running the red light or both conditions.

Type 4A

The following model is placed in the Castellana street, in Madrid. It consists of speed meter cameras and an omni-directional camera in the traffic light with two antennas whose purpose is sending the pictures via radio. The global view:

Type 4B (TRAFFIPHOT-III model)

This model does not detect speed, but just red light runs. For that purpose it uses induction bands buried under the asphalt:
