joins the cast of Disney´s upcoming movie "Again":
Femme firepower for Disney's 'Again'
Jamie Lee Curtis, Kristin Chenoweth among actors
in cast
By Jay A. Fernandez and Borys Kit
June 15, 2009, 11:00 PM ET
The Disney comedy "You Again" has taken on some
female power.
Jamie Lee Curtis, Kristin Chenoweth, Odette Yustman and
Betty White have joined the cast, as has Victor
Garber. They join Kristen Bell and Sigourney
Weaver in the film, to be directed by Andy Fickman.
The story line centers on a
woman (Bell) who finds out that her brother is planning to marry the girl
who made her high school years a living hell and tries to convince him that
his fiancee is not the nice girl she pretends to be.
Curtis and Garber
will play Bell's parents, and White will play her grandmother. (Weaver is
her rich Aunt Ramona.) Chenoweth plays "a wedding extraordinator." Yustman
plays Bell's nemesis.
Moe Jelline wrote the
screenplay. Fickman is producing with Eric Tannenbaum and John Strauss.
LouAnne Brickhouse and Todd Murata are overseeing for the
studio, which hopes to start shooting in late summer in Los Angeles.
CAA-repped Curtis is a Disney favorite, having starred in 2003's "Freaky
Friday" and appeared in "Beverly Hills Chihuahua."
Chenoweth, repped by CAA and Untitled Entertainment, most
recently starred in the ABC series "Pushing Daisies." Her most recent film
was "Four Christmases."
One of the stars of "Cloverfield" and TV's "October Road,"
Yustman most recently starred in David Goyer's "The Unborn." She is repped
by ICM and Evolution.
The APA-repped White next stars in Disney's "The Proposal,"
which opens Friday, and Gersh-repped Garber most recently appeared as San
Francisco Mayor George Moscone in "Milk."

appears in a Showtime episode pilot called "Rex":
Show with Paris Hilton, Simon Rex, Jamie Presley & Lance
Bass -- Yes Please
An online pilot called "Rex" was posted today, and
Showtime better buy it or I'm gonna
kidnap someones dog as ransom (Paris, I'm talkin' to you).
Created by Guy Shalem, who directed some episodes of
Lifetime's "Lovespring International," the show centers around Simon Rex and
his search to get back in the limelight. The brilliance of the show lives
within the co-stars of the cast, and get this, Paris Hilton (as his fake
girlfriend) is the best actor of all. Most people would argue that she may
just be playing herself, but her comedic timing and delivery makes me want to
take back every sassy quip I ever said about her.
The cast list, including a gut-splitting Jamie Presley
and Brian Huskey, sounds like some sort of underground Hollywood fight club.
Also on board is "Alias'" Victor Garber
and Jill Talley, playing Rex's brilliant parents, and the streets of Los
Angeles, which make up the sets the stories come to life on. This show is just
another reason why reality TV is NOT the only option.
I think the moment I knew this thing wasn't a gumball of
bull crap was when Lance "Not Gay" Bass (I promise that will make sense when
you watch) joined the bunch and I still wanted to watch. No offense, LB, but I
was sure you would take me out of it and you didn't -- major props. When he
and Simon share some strange Cyrano de Bergerac setup, I just about lost my
Triscuits.
Give the full 23-minute pilot a watch after the jump,
and then call Showtime and tell them to get on the ball!

*Veteran
actor still going strong
Canadian
Victor Garber enjoys life
after Stone :
http://www.calgarysun.com/entertainment/tv/2009/06/09/9734186-sun.html
BANFF -- Victor Garber
is in a pretty good mood for someone who just
lost a job.
Relaxing on a sofa in a deluxe meeting room at the
Fairmont Banff Springs, the veteran Canadian actor speaks matter-of-factly
about why his last series, Eli Stone, wasn't renewed by ABC for a second
season.
"Eli Stone was always on the bubble and it never really
caught on," says Garber, who is town for the 30th annual Banff World
Television Festival.
"Then ABC cancelled three shows in one day and we were
one of them. It's so political and it's economics. It was an expensive show to
do. It's very disappointing but you have to move on."
Garber hasn't been
wanting for work since the end of the quirky comedy-drama, which starred
Trainspotting's Jonny Lee Miller as a constantly hallucinating attorney. He
has two movies lined up this year as well as a role in the Broadway production
of Noel Coward's Present Laughter in January.
"I'm doing little jobs to pay for the furniture in my
new house," Garber
says with a smile.
"Then I'll do the play which is basically costing me
money. But theatre is very gratifying. I also do musicals. I love to do it all
actually. I don't like to do just one thing. I love that variety in my life."
Garber began his
professional acting career on stage and has performed in acclaimed Broadway
productions of Sweeney Todd, Deathtrap and Noises Off.
He was able to transfer his theatre success to film and
television, appearing as ship builder Thomas Andrews in the Oscar-winning epic
Titanic and Professor Callahan in the airheaded comedy Legally Blonde.
Recently he was seen as San Francisco mayor George Moscone in the Harvey Milk
biopic, Milk.
But it was his turn as Jennifer Garner's father on the
spy-action series Alias that made this recognizable face a recognizable name.
Garber was nominated
for an Emmy award three times during the show's five-year run, which ended in
2006.
"On Alias, we never got big numbers," he says. "If we'd
gone on the air now it wouldn't have lasted. But at the time we were ABC's
only critically appreciated show and because Jennifer (Garner) became such a
huge star we stayed on for five years. But we were never a Top 10 show. People
think it was a huge hit, but it wasn't. It was just a cult favourite. And life-changing
for all of us."
Although the 60-year-old actor's career was chugging
along nicely before Alias, Garber
says the show's reputation allowed him a certain freedom to choose his work.
"I was offered a lot of work because of it and I didn't
have to go through the horror of the network tests, which are just beyond
humiliating and vile," he explains.
"But we all have to do it. I've done it and I'll
probably do it again. To be acknowledged for something I love to do at this
point in my life is actually very encouraging. Because you know, we still need
encouragement even at this age."
