| ..... Attached to the Throttle Console, the control is done again with the IOCARDS system. In the picture, connected to the paralell port is the Master Circuit, and, vertically mounted 2 OFF Displays Control Circuit boards. For more info, visit : http://www.opencockpits.com/
Basically, I followed the same steps as per the EFIS/MCP |
| Rear view of the front panel: as you can see, with so many wires I decided to implement plugs, because welding is more easy, and correcting any mistake too. There are totally 38 displays, 9 rotatory switches, and 3 switches. As concentric encoders, I have used rotatory switches, self-made in concentric form, according the design of Pedro Bibiloni. You can find tutorials about all this again in http://www.opencockpits.com/ |
The displays circuit boards are clamped to the panel by mean of small plywood pieces |
| Ready for closing the assembly. For making easier the wiring, the fixed "1" and the "." are wired through the vertical bar in the picture. Arriving are 5 volts: as outputs there are one 470 ohms resistor to each fixed segment (showed with different colours for each function display) |
Assembly view: in the future it will grew up with a CDU (by now just thinking) |
| Runing: see how nice are the concentric rotatory switches Now I need less clicking the mouse!!!!! |
