The Mas Pla Grave's HillIt's located in Valldossera. In the year 1963 it was first dug by J. Maluquer, P. Giró and J.M. Masachs. One says that in the year 1950 still had the capstones on it and that these and part of the tumulus were used in the building of the TV-2441 road, that pass very near the monument. In the year 1979 the grave was again excavated by Josep Mestres. In this campaign a special attention was draw on the tumulus, opening the south quadrant of it with the goal of analysing its structure. The central body includes the sepulcral chamber and it's bounded by a wall of dry stone. From this body starts a series of radial buttress set up with upright slabs, reaching the border, which is delimited by a cromlech. |
