New Dolmens

Febrosa II

In the year 1934, Isidre Macau published a work on new megaliths in Alt Empordā. There we can read: A neighbour from Palau Saverdera, named Miquel de la Borni, was the last that cultivated a vineyard in the place where this dolmen is found (he is speaking about La Febrosa I) and he told me that near this there was another dolmen, but, because of the renovation of the walls in the vineyard, it fell,...
In the year 1970, in the Issue number 6 of the Corpus de Sepulcres Megalítics, corresponding to the Serra de Rodes, Miquel Cura and Anna MĒ Ferran say that they tried to find it, but with no success. It always was considered missing.
In august 9, 2000, the day after the fire that wasted the district of Alt Empordā was extinguished, some active people from Palau Saverdera found it. Its condition is better than the news that we had could induce to think. It is located in a level below that of the Febrosa I, and it's difficult to see, because the surrounding landscape is full of free stone slabs.

Barranc of the Coma de l'Infern

In the year 1943, Lluís Pericot, said: Descending in a straight line from this last dolmen (he is speaking about La Carena of Vilajuīga dolmen) to the Coma de l'Infern, next to the bottom and near the King's Vineyard dolmen, we found a little cist that we don't known if it was published yet and that we can name "Barranc cist".
Although it is a monument already published and well identified and situated, the dense forest vegetation and the abrupt soil have hidden it from the people's eyes a long time. The fire has brought it to the public light again, by the hands of Enric Carreras and the GESEART fellows.
